Are you a first time yogini or yogi? Or, are you an intermediate student who wishes to understand the “why” behind the poses (asanas)? Do you wish to learn more of the history and philosophy of yoga? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this six week series is for you. The classes will be divided into several modules, including history and philosophy of yoga, pranayama (breathwork) and a history of the poses, including their benefits and contraindications. If you are interested in learning yoga, as well as “doing it”, this 6 week session is for you. Fee for the six week series: $70.00. Class cards may be utilized.

Saturday, February 28, 9:30-11:30 YOGA: THE STRONG AND THE SOFT with Marie Yoga gives us opportunities to cultivate balance and harmony in our lives. Join us as we explore the qualities of willfulness and surrender in our bodies as we practice asana together. Empowerment, courage, self-reliance united with acceptance, vulnerability and letting go create wholeness in our bodies, minds and spirits. The workshop will end with a special deep relaxation called yoga nidra, to send you on your way rested, refreshed and rejuvenated. All levels welcome! Fee: $20.00 for this two hour workshop.
