This class builds awareness of body and breath through movement, stretching, and restorative poses. It is perfect for beginners or experienced students seeking a slower pace.
All Level Yoga
This class offers a variety of asanas (poses) with accommodations and modifications offered for all levels of students. Beginners through experienced students will feel welcome and challenged in this upbeat class.
Wicked Hot Vinyasa (for Intermediate-Adv)
Meaning breath with movement, Vinyasa combines Hatha, Astanga, Iyengar, Power and Bikram yoga styles and attracts those who prefer a more challenging experience. Performed in a warm to hot room, these flowing sequences build on one another leaving participants feeling invigorated and balanced.
Pilates Mat
A 45-minute core building (abdominal, back) class based on the teachings of Joseph Pilates. The focus will be on utilizing breath to engage core muscles to move properly and efficiently. Muscles are at their strongest when they are toned, lengthened and stretched.
Intro to Power This class will provide a slower approach for those who wish to try more challenging poses with some assists. Participants should have some intermediate knowledge of yoga asanas and sequencing.
First Light
This class offers 50-minutes of Hatha yoga to begin your day. Gentle movements are followed by more traditional yoga poses which are suitable for all levels. We will conclude our sunrise practice with a centering savasana to bring the focus back to the mind and body, preparing to face the day.
Tai-Chi This class, instructed by George Hoffman of Silver Dragon, is perfect for all ages. The movements of Tai-Chi are gentle, fluid and graceful and designed to enhance the flow of “Chi”, or life force/energy, though the body. No previous experience in yoga, Tai Chi or Qi-Gong is required.
YIN YOGA Yin Yoga poses are held longer than traditional yoga postures, and are typically done seated, not standing. A typical asana may be held 3 -5 minutes. While classes are suitable for all levels, including beginners, even advanced practitioners of power classes will find these classes challenging, and a nice balance to a traditional strong or hatha practice. YIN may also be combined with YANG–a stronger, more physical practice.
